SCARLETT was Pink Girl out of our 2020 Wiley x Sookie litter, which was bred for hunting endurance with independent range. At seven weeks of age, the entire litter was brought out to the field trial grounds for aptitude and bird drive testing. SCARLETT was a retrieving fool.
PINK likes to carry sticks.
Within a home environment, SCARLETT is incredibly affectionate and people-focused. Her favorite thing to do is to cuddle on Barry. She’s also an extrovert, greeting everyone she meets with “hi! Are you my friend?!” A fast little buggar, we can hear her pitter-pattering all over the house when she’s running from point A to point B. She wolfs her meals like she’s at an eating contest, and crates up quietly at night, all night.
In an effort to evaluate Scarlett against our breeding goals, Scarlett spent the Summer and Autumn season learning about birds and participated in the sport of Field Trialing. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear that she has enough energy and endurance to be competitive so she is now available as a companion dog to the right home. Scarlett is healthy, sweet, mellow, good with adults, children, other dogs, is housebroken, crate trained, and up to date on her vaccines.

Kim,
Melissa Kimmel here……..could Scarlett (if she’s still available) be a suitable candidate for obedience, therapy and/or barn hunting? How is her conformation? I had a high end German Shorthair years ago that we sent out for field trial training. When we got her back she was so geared to taking off (we lived in a BIG alfalfa field) it was a problem with children leaving gates open, etc. It took some real work to bring her down and re-channel her brain to be boundary trained. Do you see this as an issue with this puppy? If I’m a consideration, what would be her price? Check my puppy questionnaire. Thanks a bunch. Melissa
