Announcing 2019 Breeding Plans – Swede x Bug

Kim of Barrett Weimaraners and Erin of BaseCamp Weimaraners are pleased to announce a planned breeding in Summer 2019 between GCH CH Camelot’s Luxe Winter’s Waltz JH NSD NRD V, “Swede,” and GCH CH Barrett n’ Star’s Flying Spectacle NRD, “LadyBug.” !!! The purpose of this line breeding (the COI over 10 generations is 14.78%) is to preserve a Weimaraner with a beautiful headpiece, good bone, dark coat, nice tail-set. The best puppies out of this litter are expected to do very well in AKC conformation (dog shows), but also driven and talented enough to do well as hunting dogs. As companion dogs, we expect them to be protective, loyal, and family-oriented.

Best of Breed at the Southern CA Sporting Dog Fanciers Association Show in Long Beach June 2016.

GCH CH Barrett n’ Star’s Flying Spectacle NRD, “Bug,” was “LadyBug” out of the 2014 Circus Seven litter of puppies. She is a petite, tail wagging, quiet natured, love bug at home but take her outdoors and she becomes a wide-ranging huntress who is very inclined to point at birds. Bug is a natural retriever and swimmer and specializes in field and show events. Bug has done well in the juvenile field trial trial stakes and easily finished her AKC Show Championship and Grand Championship. Best of all, she’s one of the best cuddlers of all the Barrett dogs.
