Spring 2026 Litter Announcement – Boone x Beatrix

Barrett Weimaraners is pleased to announce that we are expecting a very special litter to arrive in Toronto, Canada, in Spring 2026. Proud parents are BISS GCHB CH PHANTASM N ZAUBERHAFT IF YOU GOT IT, HAUNT IT MH SH CGC FTI ATT, “Boone,” and CAN AM CH BARRETT MESA LIGHTNING JH NSD, “Beatrix.” Both sire and dam have been extensively health tested. The coefficient of inbreeding (COI) over 10 generations is considered medium at 14.47%.

Barrett Breeding Objectives. Weimaraners as a breed are moderately sized hunting dogs and should be preserved as such. One of our short-term (within 10 years) goals is to produce and sustain a bloodline of Weimaraners who are fierce dogs with extreme athleticism and hunting endurance. Another short-term goal is produce and sustain a bloodline of Weimaraners who are strikingly beautiful and aristocratic. In the longer-term (10-20 years) we hope to produce hard-hunting Weimaraners who are also capable of higher level conformation/dog shows [see also: Dual Champion Weimaraner].

The purpose of this particular breeding is to preserve a beautiful, versatile Weimaraner with an exceptional headpiece, balanced structure and high bird drive. The best puppies out of this litter are expected to follow in their parents’ footsteps by being both very successful in the show ring and local hunting grounds. As companion dogs, we expect them to be active, loyal, and family-oriented.

The puppy placement process. Puppies will be aptitude/temperament tested, introduced to live game birds, and evaluated for proper structure at seven weeks of age. Prospective owners will be notified which puppy will be coming home to them after the series of tests have been completed to determine puppy prospect as show, hunting, or family companion. Prospective families are welcome to visit with Beatrix in Toronto, Canada anytime and with the puppies once they are on the ground. Boone was bred by Phantasm Weimaraners and is located in Indiana.

A 50% refundable deposit in the amount of $1,750 USD is required to formally get on the interest list, with a remaining 50% due on the day that puppies turn eight (8) weeks of age.
