On Saturday, Boulder was awarded the Winners Dog ribbon, the Best of Winners Ribbon, and the Best Bred by Exhibitor Weimaraner ribbon. Later in the day, we went on to earn a BBE Sporting Group 1 Ribbon. (!!!)
Below are some pictures from our fun day on Saturday together. (No pics from Thursday or Friday, since I sent Bo ahead with Robert and didn’t arrive to the show grounds until the weekend.)

Since Bo and I were separated for a few days, I had to pick him up from Robert’s set-up area. He was SOO HAPPY to see me!!! This is him greeting me with a howl. Love this boy.

We hung out for a few hours before returning to the ring around 4:00 PM for another round of showing. This time, to participate in the BBE competiton:

BO AND I GOT A SPORTING GROUP ONE!!!! We were stoked. We later learned the judge gave us the Group One ribbon for “nailing the free stack.” Excellent, Bo!!!
Also, the bow matches my blazer. Something to think about for next time…
Back in again for the BBE Best in Show lineup. By now, I was completely out of bait (didn’t budget enough to last this long!) and had to work my verbal magic to keep Bo in check.
We were thrilled to have made it t his far! Puppy BIS went to the Whippet. 🙂
Bo had a big day. He passed out immediately once we got in the car. His favorite spot: Head in the center.
I KNEW he was exhausted when I shook out my bait crumbs from my top and he didn’t wake up to lick it. And he loves that stuff.
I even stopped through the local Mickey D’s to give him a “good boy snack” (our little post-show tradition), but he wasn’t interested. If I didn’t know about his big day, I would have thought there was something seriously wrong with him!
Back at home, he resumed his spot on the throne…
